At your selected time, we will convene outside the Junta de Freguesia to embark on a guided journey through Pernes, where you will uncover the charm and hidden gems of this picturesque village.
Throughout the tour, we will explore the historical backdrop of the town. Discover the reasons behind Emperor Julius Caesar’s visit, as well as insights into King Alfonso I of Portugal and the roles played by the Knights Templar in shaping the area’s past. Each story adds depth to your understanding of Pernes!
Additionally, we will appreciate the graceful architecture of the church of La Misericordia, marvel at the Clock Tower, and indulge in the delightful traditional treat, cakes of San Antonio.
After our exploration of a bridge crafted by the renowned engineer Gustave Eiffel, we will make our way to Alviela River Park, where the enchanting Mouchão waterfall awaits. Be sure to have your camera handy to capture these breathtaking views!
The tour will conclude as we return to our original meeting point, wrapping up an engaging two-hour journey.
