To begin, we will stroll through the Spanish Quarter, delving into the historical connections between Spain and Morocco. What stories does the colonial heritage of this North African region hold? Your English-speaking guide will unveil the city's rich history while you gaze at its remarkable architectural styles.

Next, our private tour will take us to the old Medina. As we navigate the winding, cobbled streets of the historic center, you’ll be struck by the exquisite façades of the Place Outa Hammam, a notable 14th-century fortress known as the Kasbah, and the majestic Great Mosque. We will stop to observe the ancient gates of the city wall:  Bab El Ain, Bab Souk, and Bab Onsar. Between these historic entrances, the
distinctive blue homes of Chefchaouen, which have attracted many visitors, are sure to catch your eye. Do you know the unique reason behind painting these houses blue?

Upon concluding your two-and-a-half-hour walking exploration of Chefchaouen's historic center, we will return to Place Mohammed V. Should you wish, the tour can alternatively conclude by the souk or at another location within the old town.

On the day of your tour, we will gather at the Hotel Madrid in Chefchaouen. However, when booking, please provide the name and address of your hotel in the Medina to facilitate a meeting point that is as close as possible to your accommodation.
