Regardless of your choice, the itinerary includes pickup at 9 am from your accommodation in Vila Pouca de Aguiar, transportation throughout the journey, a guide fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese, and a return to your hotel by 5 pm:

Chaves, Boticas & Montalegre Tour

Our first destination will be Alto Tâmega, part of the stunning Trás-os-Montes region.

We'll commence with a visit to Chaves, where we will gaze upon its remarkable medieval fortress, a testament to the region's tumultuous history. Our route will take us over the graceful Roman bridge of Trajano and past the well-known thermal baths of Chaves.

Next, we will stop at Boticas, where the charm of its stone architecture is sure to capture your heart. Here, we will delve into the past by visiting the Rural Museum, where traditional farming tools and artifacts are displayed. You will also be given an hour for free time to enjoy lunch at your leisure.

Our final visit will be to Montalegre, where the striking 12th-century castle reigns over the landscape from its hilltop perch. Additionally, we will explore the Ecomuseum of Montalegre to gain insights into the town’s rich history and cultural heritage.

Chaves, Valpaços & Vila Pouca de Aguiar Tour

For this itinerary, we will set off from Vila Pouca de Aguiar, beginning our adventure in Chaves. After enjoying the sights of this picturesque town, we will continue to Valpaços to discover its renowned wine culture. You will also have an opportunity to enjoy lunch here.

We will wrap up our journey by returning to Vila Pouca de Aguiar, where we will take a closer look at its primary attractions.
