Hike Overview
We will convene at the specified time on the dirt road of Montaña Testeina in Tías, Las Palmas. From this point, the hiking route takes us through the captivating landscapes surrounding the renowned Timanfaya National Park.
This hike presents a medium level of difficulty and spans approximately 7 km (4.3 mi). As we traverse through these lava-shaped terrains, you will gain insights into how natural processes have formed the craters, tunnels, and cones resulting from historical volcanic eruptions.
Throughout the journey, we will also take in the stunning color contrasts of the land, featuring hues of ochre, brown, grey, and striking black. The Volcanoes Natural Park showcases a vibrant palette of colors!
After an enriching 3-hour adventure, we will return to the starting location.

We'll meet at the indicated time at the Testeina Mountain dirt road in Tías, Las Palmas.

You'll be able to leave your car parked here during the hike. Please be ready at your reception hotel or at the meeting point at least 15 minutes beforehand.
Recommended
We strongly suggest that you wear footwear and clothes which are suitable for trekking, along with a hat and sunglasses. In winter you should wear a warm jacket. Please bring an additional picnic with food and water to keep you hydrated and to maintain your energy levels.
