Exploration of Ghent
Your walking tour of Ghent commences at the Belfry and spans a duration of two hours.
The journey begins with a visit to the Castle of Gerald the Devil, moving on to St. Bavon's Cathedral, renowned for housing the magnificent Ghent Altarpiece featuring the Adoration of the Mystic Lamb. You will also admire the striking Belfry and the impressive Town Hall.
As we progress, the tour will showcase some of the city's oldest landmarks, including the historic St. Nicholas Church, the Masons' Guild Hall dating back to the sixteenth century, the charming medieval harbor known as "The Pier of Herbs and Grains," the renowned Gravensteen Castle of Counts, the quaint district of Patershol, Friday Market Square, along with the bustling meat and fish markets.
The experience concludes in the heart of Ghent.
Travel Information
For those traveling from Brussels, the most convenient option to reach Ghent is by taking a train from the central station at 8:30 am. Upon arrival, you can board the tram number 1 towards Centrum, disembarking at the stop Korte Meer near Kouter Square.

Important information
The tour will begin at the indicated time at the Belfry of Ghent. The nearest tram stop is Korenmarkt. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early.
Since 1st January 2018, a number of Belgian cities have had new regulations put in place for the management of sightseeing tours. Occasionally, our local provider will have to carry out the service using radios with headphones. Due to the environmental damage caused by using disposable headphones, we advise you to bring your own headphones to help the environment. If you don't have your own, the company will provide you with disposable headphones for 1EUR.
People under 26 years of age must present proof of age on the day of the tour.
