Experience a unique day immersed in nature with a tour of Ventanilla, Mazunte, and Zipolite. In this stunning Mexican region, you will encounter crocodiles, iguanas, and turtles in their natural habitat.
Tour Details
At the specified time, we will pick you up from your hotel and head to Ventanilla, a small municipality located about an hour and a half from the Huatulco bays. The name of this quaint town comes from a small window that has been carved into the rocks over time.
Upon arrival, you will embark on a walking tour of the Ventanilla Natural Protected Reserve, where the lush natural beauty surrounds you. Here, local residents have established a crocodile sanctuary, working to breed and nurture young crocodiles until they are ready to be released back into the wild.
After a 15-minute stroll from the town, we will reach the Ventanilla wetlands. Here, we will board a boat that will navigate through the mangrove forests, allowing you to observe various bird species and reptiles native to the area, including the exotic iguana.
The mangrove tour will take us to Ventanilla Island, where you will have the opportunity to see more incredible local wildlife, such as white-tailed deer and spider monkeys!
Following this, we will visit the idyllic beaches of Mazunte and Zipolite, where you will have thirty minutes to unwind and enjoy the serene coastline. Lastly, we will make a stop in Puerto Ángel, providing you with some free time to enjoy a meal at a local restaurant.
At the end of this 8-hour adventure, we will return to the starting point, where we will bid farewell.
