Chandragiri Cable Car
Description
Embark on an exhilarating journey from Kathmandu as we take a cable car ride at Chandragiri Hills to witness breathtaking vistas of the Himalayas. You'll have the chance to spot five of the fourteen tallest peaks globally!
Chandragiri Cable Car Experience
Your adventure begins with a pick-up at your Kathmandu hotel at the specified time. We'll then proceed towards the renowned Chandragiri Hills cable car, designed to provide the most spectacular panoramic views of the majestic Himalayas.
Following a brief introduction, we will board our transport and embark on a scenic drive to the base of the Chandragiri Hills. A half-hour journey through the picturesque southwestern Thamel district will lead us to the cable car station, where we will begin our ascent to a remarkable height of 8,366 feet (2,551 meters).
As we glide upwards, you'll be treated to stunning views of the adjacent hills and, of course, Mount Everest, the tallest mountain in the world. Witnessing this natural wonder will leave you in awe!
The panoramic windows of the cable car allow for a comfortable ride while soaking in the sight of the snowy peaks of the Himalayas. On days with clear skies, you may even spot five of the fourteen highest peaks on Earth!
Upon reaching the summit, you will have 90 minutes at your leisure to enjoy lunch and explore a nearby Hindu temple. It’s worth noting that Chandragiri isn’t just famed for its views; it also holds significant sacredness, attracting devout Hindus who journey to the top daily in pilgrimage.
After approximately four hours immersed in the stunning Himalayan views, we will conclude the trip and return you to your hotel in Kathmandu.
