15-Day Private Trek to Annapurna Base Camp

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

As you land, the majestic white peaks of the Himalayas greet you. Welcome to Nepal! Following your arrival at Kathmandu airport, we will transport you to a centrally located hotel where you can unwind after your flight. Later, we'll gather for an orientation session to discuss details and expectations for the trekking adventure ahead.

After our meeting, we will head to a local restaurant for a warm welcome dinner, featuring a diverse array of traditional dishes. Finally, we return to the hotel to rest.

Day 2: Exploring Kathmandu

Following a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we board a minibus for a comprehensive tour of Kathmandu. This sightseeing venture includes stops at iconic sites such as the temple of Pashupatinath, the revered Buddhist site of Swyambhunath, and the historical Durbar Square. Subsequently, we will prepare trekking gear in a local area before heading back to the hotel for the remainder of the day at your leisure.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara

After enjoying breakfast, we will set off by bus to the scenic town of Pokhara. On this journey, feast your eyes on the stunning valleys framed by the towering Himalayan peaks and verdant hills dotted with small settlements.

Upon arriving at the Pokhara bus station, we'll check into our hotel, allowing you time to relax until tomorrow.

Day 4: Pokhara to Nayapul to Tikhedhunga

We will start our day with a delicious breakfast before embarking on the Himalayan trekking route. Our first stop is the small village of Nayapul, followed by a journey toward Annapurna Base Camp, with stunning views of the Annapurna peak emerging in the distance!

As we navigate along the Modi River towards the village of Birethanti, we’ll stop to rest before progressing to Tikhedhunga, which sits at an elevation of 1,480 meters above sea level. Meals will be served here as we settle in for the night.

Day 5: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani

After breakfast at our Tikhedhunga camp, we will commence our ascent, tackling the three thousand stone steps that lead us up to the charming village of Ulleri. Enjoy the breathtaking vistas along the way before continuing to the nearby village of Banthanti.

After lunch, we will proceed to our lodge in Ghorepani, where we will have dinner and prepare for the next leg of our adventure.

Day 6: Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tadapani

In the early hours, we will grab our trekking poles and boots for a remarkable sunrise trek to the renowned viewpoint at Poon Hill. Witness the breathtaking spectacle of sunrise illuminating the peaks of Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, Dhaulagiri, and of course, Annapurna.

Once we have taken in the views, we return to the lodge in Ghorepani for a hearty breakfast before setting off through lush forests and quaint villages like Banthanti to reach Tadapani, where we will marvel at the spectacular southern face of Annapurna. An overnight stay will take place in Tadapani.

Day 7: Tadapani to Sinuwa

After breakfast at our lodge in Tadapani, we will embark on the trek towards Chhomrong village. The landscape around the Kimrong Khola River will become increasingly steep as we continue towards Chomrong, from where we will wander through the valley further.

Day 8: Sinuwa to Deurali

This morning, we will gather our trekking essentials—rucksacks, boots, and poles—before enjoying breakfast in Sinuwa. Our journey leads us into a bamboo forest, arriving shortly afterwards in the village of Dobhan and at the famous Hinku Cave. We will conclude our day at Deurali for some much-needed rest.

Day 9: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp

Post-breakfast, we set off towards Machapuchare for our first significant ascent at 3,000 meters. Continuing onwards, we will reach the Annapurna sanctuary, an impressive oval plateau positioned over 4,000 meters above sea level. Eventually, we will arrive at our destination: Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 10: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo

Awaken early to witness a stunning sunrise over Annapurna—a once-in-a-lifetime experience not to be missed.

After enjoying the natural beauty, we'll have breakfast at base camp before making our way to the village of Bamboo, where you’ll have free time for the rest of the day, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 11: Bamboo to Jhinudanda

After breakfast, we will follow the course of the Modi River back to the village of Chhomrong. Our final destination for the day is Jhinudanda, where we will check into a local lodge. In the afternoon, indulge in a refreshing dip in the Modi River before returning to our lodge in Jhinudanda for dinner and rest.

Day 12: Jhinudanda to Pothana

As dawn breaks, illuminating Jhinudanda, we'll enjoy breakfast before setting south along the course of the Modi River. The stunning waterfalls and lush greenery near the tiny village of Landruk will guide us until we reach Pothana. Here, lunch, dinner, and comfortable lodging await, all while enjoying views of Annapurna and Machapuchare.

Day 13: Pothana to Phedi to Pokhara

After breakfast in Pothana, we will begin our descent toward Phedi. Upon arrival, a vehicle will be ready to transport us to a hotel in Pokhara, where we will enjoy a satisfying lunch.

Day 14: Pokhara to Kathmandu

In the early morning, we will return to the Pokhara bus station to catch our ride back to the capital. This seven-hour journey will include two breaks: one for breakfast at a roadside restaurant and another for lunch at your leisure. We expect to arrive in Kathmandu shortly after sunset. To cap off our journey, we’ll gather for a farewell dinner at a popular local restaurant, showcasing a selection of Nepalese culinary delights. Following dinner, we’ll check into a 3-star hotel in the city center.

Day 15: Departure from Kathmandu

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before a day at your leisure until we transfer you to the airport three hours prior to your flight departure. Should you wish to extend your stay and explore more of Kathmandu, that can be arranged as well.
