South Rim Sunrise Day Trip with Antelope Canyon + Horseshoe Bend
Description
Join us on an enriching day excursion to the South Rim departing from Las Vegas, where we will witness a breathtaking sunrise at the southern edge of the Grand Canyon. Additionally, this journey includes visits to the stunning natural formations of Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon.
Trip Overview
At the designated time, our team will collect you from your hotel in Las Vegas and begin our drive eastward into the rugged Arizona desert.
En route, we'll pass the iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign and make a stop mid-journey for a restroom break and the chance to grab breakfast at your leisure.
After traveling approximately 4.5 hours through serene landscapes, crossing the Mojave Desert and the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, we will arrive at the remarkable Grand Canyon National Park. This destination is renowned as one of the principal natural wonders globally.
Upon arrival, we will proceed to the southern expanse of the Grand Canyon, known as the South Rim, revered for its spectacular vistas. Here, we will pause to experience a magnificent sunrise. The vibrant reds of the rock formations and the stunning contours sculpted by the Colorado River will leave you in awe. You will appreciate unforgettable panoramas from various viewpoints.
After enjoying the sunrise, we embark on a 2.5-hour drive to Horseshoe Bend, where the captivating meanders of the Colorado River await. This location, molded by natural forces, holds fascinating geological stories that we will explore together.
Following our time at Horseshoe Bend, a brief 15-minute drive will take us to Antelope Canyon. Here, we will explore this stunning red sandstone gorge with a knowledgeable Navajo guide. Prepare to be enthralled!
We will then take a break for 1 hour, allowing you to enjoy lunch independently. Once you've dined, we’ll set off for a 4.5-hour return trip to Las Vegas, including a restroom stop along the way. Our route also includes a pause at Glen Canyon Dam, providing an opportunity to capture images of Lake Powell.
Ultimately, we will conclude this 18-hour day trip with a return to your Las Vegas hotel.
