Tour Overview

At the scheduled hour, our meeting point will be Casina Spezzaferri, a picturesque rural estate nestled amidst vineyards and historic gardens in the captivating Valle della Cupa, conveniently located just 10 minutes from Lecce. Are you ready to embark on this vinous journey?

We will begin with a leisurely walk through the vineyards, delving into the intriguing heritage of Salento's indigenous grape varieties. During our approximate one-hour exploration, we will wander through the gardens that envelope the farmhouse. Depending on the season, you might also join in a hunt for wild herbs, uncovering local flora with rich stories to tell.

Next, we will visit the historic vinification area adjacent to the farmhouse, where traditional equipment remains in active use. This setting provides an ideal backdrop for a wine tasting experience led by Giorgia, the owner, as well as an oenologist and certified sommelier. We will savor three regional wines while gaining insights into the artistry of local viticulture and the culinary culture of Salento.

The wine tasting will be complemented by an apéritif featuring a selection of typical local products, such as artisanal cheeses, orange marmalade made from the farm's gardens, and taralli, among other traditional treats.
