Tour Details

At the scheduled time, we will gather at the dock positioned at number 5 of Landungsbrücke street, conveniently located next to Lucerne Train Station.

From this departure point, we will embark on the Gallia, a charming steamboat that will guide us across Lake Lucerne. The ship's captain will warmly welcome us to this unique experience known as Legends of Lake Lucerne, where we’ll explore the lake's intriguing tales and myths. This area is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque natural settings in inland Switzerland!

Along with intriguing tales about Lake Lucerne, our cruise will feature a scrumptious 5-course lunch served in the dining area of the ship, making for an exceptional culinary adventure!

Once we set sail, our journey will take us past Meggenhorn Castle. We will then glide along the beautiful Weggis waterfront and continue past the shores of Vitznau and Beckenried towards the scenic restaurant Haus Zur Treib, located on a hillside.

Next, we’ll sail near the Rütli meadow and Tellskapelle. Legend has it that this is where William Tell initiated the Swiss revolt against Albrecht Gessler's rule. To delve deeper into the history of this legendary figure, we will approach the Schiller Stone, a lakeside monument honoring the poet Friedrich Schiller, who wrote the play William Tell.

While we marvel at these stunning views, our on-board guide will share captivating legends associated with Lake Lucerne, unveiling the tales of Schiller and Tell. Additionally, we will discuss Queen Victoria's expedition to Mount Pilatus, highlighting how this breathtaking region has also enchanted renowned personalities, including writers like Mark Twain.

As our cruise comes to a close, we will begin our return journey, soaking in the stunning vistas of Mount Pilatus. After a memorable 5-hour adventure, we will arrive back at the initial dock.
