Tour Overview
Welcome to Zambia's bustling capital! At the appointed time, our gathering spot will be the City Market bus station, where we will convene before embarking on an insightful full tour of Lusaka, a city rich in history, culture, and personality.
We will kick off our journey at Soweto Market, nestled in Lusaka’s core. As we navigate through the lively lanes of this vast market, we will uncover the genuine essence of Zambia by exploring countless stalls and discovering the nuances of daily life in this vibrant city.
Next, we will travel by car to the Elephant Orphanage. Prepare for a truly enchanting experience as we observe orphaned elephants, rescued from the wild, eagerly rushing to receive their milk bottles. This heartwarming experience will surely be a highlight! Additionally, we will delve into the stories of these magnificent creatures through various exhibitions within the orphanage.
After approximately 1.5 hours, we’ll take a break to enjoy a mouth-watering Zambian lunch at Los Angeles Boulevard. Here, you can savor a delightful barbecue featuring your choice of chicken, beef, or fish, complemented by sides like nshima. If requested upon reservation, a vegetarian alternative is available.
Reinvigorated, we will proceed to the Lusaka National Museum, where we will dedicate 45 minutes to delve into exhibits that vividly depict Zambia’s history, particularly highlighting its struggle for independence.
Having absorbed this historical insight, our next stop will be the notable Statue of Liberty, followed by a visit to the Kabwata Cultural Village, a delightful open-air market where you will undoubtedly discover unique souvenirs.
