Mozambique Adventure: A Complete 12-Day Experience

Day 1: Maputo

This journey kicks off with an engaging craft workshop. We will gather at Kwame Nkrumah Avenue in Maputo at 10:30 am to take part in a four-hour session focused on batik painting and arame in the heart of the capital.

Following the workshop, you will have some free time until the afternoon, when we reconvene to enjoy a delightful welcome dinner at a local restaurant, offering a taste of various traditional dishes. At the conclusion of day one, we will check into our hotel in Maputo, where we will stay for the next two nights.

Day 2: Maputo – Maputo Special Reserve – Maputo

This morning, we will depart for the Maputo Special Reserve, a stunning natural expanse in southern Mozambique. After a light breakfast, we’ll embark on an unforgettable safari, providing the opportunity to observe impalas, zebras, antelopes, giraffes, and African elephants in their native environment. During lunchtime, we will pause for a relaxing picnic by the shore of one of the beautiful lakes before continuing to search for more captivating wildlife within the reserve. After our exciting safari, we will return to our accommodation in Maputo.

Day 3:  Maputo – Kruger National Park

We’ll depart the bustling capital behind and venture to the renowned Kruger National Park, famed for being a Big 5 zone. As luck would have it, we might spot them all. Our explorations in a safari truck will elevate our chances of seeing diverse wildlife, while the open roof enhances the adventure.

Day 4: Kruger National Park

The morning sun will filter through our lodge windows as we enjoy breakfast on this fourth day. We will revisit areas in the park we haven’t explored yet and, after having lunch in a designated picnic area, we will engage in additional game drives across the greater Kruger National Park, before returning to our lodge for the night.

Day 5: Kruger National Park – Bilene Beach

After breakfast, we will take advantage of our final morning in the Kruger National Park. Remain vigilant—it’s your opportunity to catch glimpses of any wildlife you might have missed! Lunch will occur within the park before we journey to one of southern Mozambique's most idyllic locations: Bilene Beach. Once we arrive, you’ll have the rest of the afternoon free to indulge in the stunning beaches at your leisure. We’ll spend the night at a hotel adjacent to the lagoon.

Day 6: Bilene Beach – Tofo Beach

Leaving Bilene behind, we will travel to the picturesque Tofo Beach, a popular destination along the southern coast of Mozambique. The rest of the day is yours to soak up the sun and swim in the Indian Ocean’s inviting waters. We will overnight at a hotel situated by the coast.

Day 7: Tofo Beach

After a hearty breakfast, another free day awaits to explore the natural wonders of Tofo Beach, or simply relax at your hotel.

Day 8: Tofo Beach – Vilanculos

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel in Tofo, we’ll set out towards the enchanting coastal town of Vilanculos. Lunch will be provided at our accommodation, after which you will have the rest of the day free to enjoy the celebrated beaches of Vilanculos at your own pace.

Day 9: Vilanculos

Following a fulfilling breakfast at the hotel, indulge in a leisurely day within Vilanculos, taking the time to bask in the sun! We will return to the same hotel for another night.

Day 10: Vilanculos – Bazaruto Island – Vilanculos

We’ll rise early to witness a stunning African sunrise while having breakfast at our hotel. Today’s adventure includes a boat trip to the picturesque Bazaruto Island, where snorkeling along Mozambique's coast awaits. After enjoying a light lunch on the water, we’ll head back to our lodging.

Day 11: Vilanculos – Macaneta Beach

The eleventh day begins with a refreshing breakfast at the hotel before departing for Macaneta Beach. Upon arrival at the hotel, you will have the rest of the day to explore the surroundings at your own pace.

Day 12: Macaneta Beach - Maputo

On your final day, a hearty breakfast at the hotel marks the start of your last adventure. Spend the morning delving into the local area before we return to Maputo.
