Tindari & Milazzo Tour

We'll rendezvous at a time of your preference on Via I Settembre. From this meeting point, we will depart towards the city of Tindari, taking in the magnificent views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Aeolian Islands during our journey.

After approximately an hour on the road, our first destination awaits. We will stop at a lookout where you can appreciate the stunning vista of the Nebrodi Mountains and capture some beautiful photographs.

Next, our tour will take us to the Sanctuary of Tindari. Here, you might be intrigued to learn that the revered Black Madonna sculpture housed within was crafted in Constantinople over a millennium ago, drawing countless pilgrims from all corners of Sicily each year.

Following our exploration of the sanctuary, the guide will direct us to the archaeological site of Tindari. At this location, you will find an excellently preserved Greek theater, ancient fortifications, Roman mosaics, and a basilica that dates back to the 4th century B.C. Throughout our visit, we will delve into the founding story of the ancient city of Tyndaris!

Subsequently, we will depart from Tindari and travel for another hour to our next location, Milazzo. Once we arrive, a charming stroll through the vibrant historic center, filled with churches and colorful buildings awaits. We’ll also have the opportunity to explore the Castello di Milazzo, a fortress that showcases architectural influences from the Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, and Normans.

As our adventure comes to a close, we will gather back at the minibus and bid farewell to Milazzo. After a fulfilling day of exploration lasting around seven hours, we will return to our original meeting point in Messina.
