Tour Highlights

After being picked up from your hotel, we will head to Villa Vizcaya, the winter residence of collector James Deering. The construction of this estate was inspired by luxurious Italian villas and is located in the exclusive Vizcaya Bay. Deering moved here based on his doctors' advice, as they recommended a sun and sea climate to help with his anaemia.

Upon arrival, you will visit the museum, where you can learn about the history of Miami and how it transitioned in the 1920s into the vibrant metropolis we recognize today. You'll see how the affluent of that era designed extravagant homes, using European palaces as models.

You will also stroll through the orchid-filled gardens, which will transport you back in time by 100 years, and enjoy the stunning views from the pier.

Villa Vizcaya is open every day except Tuesday from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
