Do you wish to discover Monterrey from a distinctive angle? On this hiking adventure, you'll ascend towards the cable car station at the Cerro de la Silla and immerse yourself in breathtaking vistas.

Hike Overview

Your journey begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Monterrey at the arranged time, after which we will head towards the slopes of Cerro de la Silla, an emblematic peak located in Guadalupe. Here, we will initiate this exhilarating hiking adventure. The lookout point on the mountain will provide you with inviting views of the cityscape. Are you prepared for this experience?

This trek spans roughly 1.55 miles (2.5 kilometers), during which we will pass notable landmarks, including La Virgen, a towering religious monument standing at 39.3 feet (12 meters), and the Table of the 10 Commandments, stone tablets bearing the Catholic commandments. Additionally, we will uncover the remnants of a historic cable car, a project initiated in 1961 that came to a swift halt. You'll learn the reasons behind its closure during our hike!

Upon reaching the lookout of the cable car, a platform that offers unparalleled panoramic views of Monterrey and its surroundings, we will pause for approximately one hour. Here, you will have ample opportunity to take photographs, and we will offer guidance on how to best capture these moments. Remember to bring your camera!

After our time at the lookout, we will either retrace our steps to the trailhead or, if you prefer, we can drop you off at a nearby eatery to sample the local flavors. We will conclude our adventure with farewells approximately four hours after we commenced.

This tour includes pickup services from hotels or lodgings situated in central Monterrey. If your accommodation is outside this area, you will need to travel to the designated meeting point: the Museum of Contemporary Art of Monterrey.
