Santiago Day Trip
Description
Discover a historic village in Nuevo León and its picturesque surroundings through this trip to the 'Magical Town' of Santiago originating from Monterrey.
Trip Overview
At your preferred time, our team will collect you from your hotel in Monterrey before embarking on our journey to Santiago, renowned as one of Mexico's celebrated Pueblos Mágicos.
Our first stop will be just outside the municipality, where we will appreciate two famous waterfalls in the vicinity: Puente de la Cruz and Velo de Novia. The latter, known in English as the 'Bridal Veil,' plummets 50 meters and is famed for its distinctive shape, which inspired its name. After soaking in the beauty of these cascades, we continue to the viewpoint offering stunning panoramas of Sierra Madre Occidental and Sierra de la Silla, where the scenic views of the surrounding pine, oak, and mesquite forests await.
Next, we will visit the famed Presa La Boca dam and the magnificent Cola de Caballo waterfall, which features a dramatic drop of 25 meters. While enjoying the natural beauty around you, you'll have some free time to wander at your leisure. If you wish, various activities are available such as catamaran rides, kayaking, quad biking, or horseback riding!
Following this, we will head to the Los Cavazos workshop, where you can appreciate unique handcrafted items. Afterwards, there will be an hour for you to explore the area on your own.
Upon reaching the village of Santiago, we will partake in a guided exploration of the historic center. As we stroll through Plaza Ocampo, you will see the baroque church of Santiago Apostle and the remnants of the town's ancient aqueduct.
After a day of approximately 7 hours exploring Santiago and its surroundings, we will transport you back to your hotel in Monterrey.
