Monaco Train Excursion
Description
Discover one of Europe’s tiniest nations on this train trip to Monaco departing from Nice. Explore the opulent micro-state where the Grimaldi family holds sway to this day.
Monaco Train Trip
We will gather at the designated time near the Nice-Ville train station, conveniently located adjacent to Paul Bakery, from where we will board a train to Monaco – a nation that truly captivates!
Following a scenic thirty-minute journey, we will arrive at the Principality's sole train station. Upon disembarking, we will commence a guided exploration of Monaco's historic center, starting with a stroll along some streets that host parts of the renowned Formula 1 Grand Prix.
During our tour, we will also view several notable landmarks, including the St. Nicholas Cathedral and the Oceanographic Museum, which opened its doors in 1910 and has been overseen by prominent figures, notably the renowned French oceanographer Jacques Cousteau.
As we progress, our journey will take us to the Jardin Exotique, a breathtaking cliff-side garden featuring over 1,000 plant species, some of which are more than a century old! After exploring the garden, we will make our way back to Monaco's train station to return to Nice, concluding this tour after approximately four hours.
For those wishing to extend their stay in the Principality, an opportunity to explore the palace grounds or the Monte Carlo Casino at your own pace is available. We will provide an open return train ticket, allowing you to choose your return to Nice that same day.
