Day Trip to Kekova Island

Your adventure begins at 8 am with a pickup from your hotel in Olympus. Following this, we will board a minibus that will transport us to the port of Demre. A boat will be awaiting us for departure at 10:30 am towards the island of Kekova.

In just an hour, we will arrive at this remarkable sunken city, one of the Mediterranean's most picturesque sites. As we glide past the underwater remnants of the ancient settlement, our guide will share insights into the storied past of these splendid ruins. Afterward, we’ll disembark to explore Simena Castle.

After spending a little over an hour on the island, we will proceed to Gokkaya Bay, where plenty of time will be allocated for a rejuvenating swim in the sea. The crystal-clear waters beckon you to take a plunge!

Our journey will then take us sailing through Turkish waters until we reach Karemlik Bay, an ideal location to observe the various turtle species residing in this area. It’s fascinating to note that Turkey is home to five of the world's eight largest turtle species. Next, we will visit the Pirates Cave, a perfect spot for capturing memorable photos!

By 5 pm, we will dock at Demre Harbor and make our way to the Santa Claus Museum, where you can view an array of archaeological artifacts and unique cultural treasures from the Antalya region dating back to the 5th and 11th centuries.

To cap off this engaging tour, you'll have the chance to explore the ancient city of Myra. Lovers of history will appreciate the fascinating collection of tombs hewn from the rock face and its impressive amphitheater.

At the conclusion of the excursion, we will return to Olympus, expected to arrive around 8 pm.
