The journey begins with a guided stroll to the Arch of Independence or Deusta, which honors the heroes of the pivotal clashes at Junin and Ayacucho. Adjacent to this landmark, the viewpoint of Wajsapata awaits. We'll ascend this small hill for a breathtaking perspective of the Puno bay and admire a sculpture dedicated to Manco Cápac, the esteemed founder of the Inca Empire.

Our adventure continues as we traverse through Pino park toward the historic core of Puno. Here, we will explore the church of San Juan, home to the revered image of the Virgin of Candelaria.

Next, we will make our way to Lima Boulevard, a prominent commercial avenue in the city, eventually arriving at the iconic Plaza de Armas. In this bustling plaza, we will encounter the cathedral and the renowned Count of Lemos's balcony, which is part of the residence that welcomed the viceroy upon his arrival in Puno in 1668.

Following this portion of the tour, we will board a bus to visit the Yavari Museum Ship, a historic 19th-century gunboat that served in the Peruvian Navy. Constructed in a shipyard located in England, the vessel was later transported to Lake Titicaca.

During our visit to the museum, we’ll venture inside to uncover the fascinating story of how this iron ship has transitioned to become the first museum ship in Peru.
