Sugarloaf Mountain Hiking & Climbing Adventure
Description
Ascend Sugarloaf Mountain in Rio de Janeiro with this accompanied hiking and climbing experience. Absorb spectacular vistas, tackle a rope climbing section, and enjoy a cable car ride during your descent!
Overview of the Activity
At the predetermined meeting point, we will gather close to Sugarloaf Mountain in Rio de Janeiro. From this location, we will begin a 90-minute trek along the Costão trail.
Your journey will commence with a climb on a rugged natural path leading us towards the most exhilarating part: a 15-meter vertical rope climb on the rock face. As you ascend, you'll be treated to stunning panoramas of Guanabara Bay and the coastal beauty of Niterói.
Prior to reaching the top, we will take a moment to enjoy the views from Pedra Filosofal viewpoint, where you can appreciate the impressive landscapes of the southern area of Rio. Look closely, and you may even catch a glimpse of the Christ the Redeemer statue far away.
The return trip will be more straightforward! Depending on circumstances, we will either board the complimentary cable car to Morro da Urca or navigate down an easy climbing route. Subsequently, we will undertake a brief 30-minute walk through a serene trail back to the base of Sugarloaf Mountain.
After approximately 4 hours of thrilling exploration, our climbing adventure at Sugarloaf Mountain will conclude at our original meeting point.
