Colosseum Guided Tour
Description
Explore the world's largest Roman amphitheater on this guided visit to the Colosseum, an essential experience when in the heart of Italy!
Tour Overview
Your guided adventure at the Colosseum begins close to the Colosseo metro station.
After a brief introduction, we will step inside the renowned Colosseum in Rome. This monumental structure, opened in 80 A.D. and originally named the Flavian Amphitheater, was inaugurated during the reign of Emperor Titus. As we tour, we'll navigate parts of the seating area of this vast venue, which held a staggering 50,000 spectators, solidifying its status as the largest Roman amphitheater ever constructed!
The tour continues as we appreciate the arena from the stands, the very spot where gladiators fought valiantly, captivating crowds with their fierce battles for survival.
However, the Flavian Amphitheater was not limited to gladiatorial combat. Throughout our exploration of the Colosseum, we will uncover the diverse spectacles that took place in this iconic location, recognized as one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World.
After a journey lasting between 1 hour and 1 hour and 15 minutes, we will conclude our visit outside the Colosseum, where you'll have the opportunity to capture a photograph in front of one of Italy's most famous landmarks.
