El Soplao Cave Excursion
We will begin our journey with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Santander, followed by a scenic drive to the town of Rionansa. As we travel, you'll have the opportunity to appreciate the typical landscapes of northern Spain, featuring valleys, forests, and mountain ranges.
Upon reaching our destination, we will embark on a visit to the El Soplao cave, once an active mine. Prepare to be captivated by the stunning formations within this Cantabrian mine, renowned as one of the most remarkable geological sites in the country.
Our adventure will lead us through various tunnels on a small train, where you can admire an extraordinary display of stalactites, stalagmites, columns, calcite crystals, and unique rock formations shaped over countless years.
After we conclude our exploration of El Soplao cave, we will proceed to the Tina Menor viewpoint in Pechón. Here, you will witness a breathtaking natural panorama overlooking the Ria Menor estuary.
Our return journey to Santander will commence approximately 4.5 hours after the initial pickup.
