Tour Overview

Our journey commences at the parking area of the "Ferruccio Barreca" Archaeological Museum at the specified start time. Are you prepared for this adventure?

The first part of our tour will take place in Sant'Antioco, where we will explore the exterior of the archaeological site associated with the museum. Here lies the Roman Acropolis, alongside remnants of an ancient temple and a hypogeum, which serves as the resting place for historic Punic graves.

Next, we will proceed to the town center, where you'll get a glimpse of the Forte Sabaudo Su Pisu, a fortress from the 19th century noted for its role in fierce conflicts, and the Church of Saint Antiochus Martyr, which boasts Paleochristian roots. Notably, this location houses the only Christian catacombs in Sardinia, and we will share fascinating insights as you take in the church's beautiful façade!

Afterward, we will pause at the promenade to enjoy a delicious meal at one of the nearby restaurants. Once lunch is complete, we will board our vehicle and head towards Calasetta.

Upon our arrival in Calasetta, we will visit the Torre Sabauda, which offers a magnificent vantage point over the coastline. Following this, we will arrive at the City Hall Square, dominated by the Church of Saint Maurice Martyr and other splendid Genovese-style buildings that define the town's architecture.

As the tour approaches its end, we will return to the vehicle to drive towards the ancient Tonnara di Sant'Antioco, taking time to appreciate the iconic Mangiabarche Lighthouse, which stands proudly atop a rocky outcrop. The vistas here are truly breathtaking!

Finally, we will return to Sant'Antioco, bringing our 7-hour tour to a close.
