Upon booking, you will have the option to select from two distinct tour durations:
2-hour Exploration
At the arranged meeting time, we will gather at the MRT Daqiaotou subway station. From there, we will head to Dadaocheng, recognized for its rich array of traditional shops within Taipei. The thoroughfares are adorned with Chinese medicine outlets, spice shops, and traditional attire stores, while also showcasing a blend of modern establishments that add a fresh twist to this historical neighborhood, featuring cultural hubs and innovative dining options.
As we observe the blending of past and present, our journey will lead us to the City God Temple, commonly referred to as Xiahai by local residents. Situated among contemporary buildings, this temple remains a beacon of Taipei's true spirit and has served as a cherished city icon for over a hundred years.
4-hour Exploration
Choosing the extended 4-hour tour will allow us to delve deeper into the area's cultural significance. Following our initial stops, we will proceed to the Confucius Temple, adorned with intricate ceramic decorations that reflect its educational purpose, marked by the inscription, "Educate without discrimination."
Our exploration continues to the Baoan Temple, a major place of worship in Taipei that remains less crowded, offering you a chance for a more personal experience away from the usual tourist paths.
