Activity Details

We will convene at Rruga e Dibrës Street, conveniently located behind the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Albania. After a brief introduction, we'll take a leisurely 10-minute walk to the venue designed for our raki tasting.

Upon arrival, you will be seated as we commence our sensory exploration of raki, a celebrated spirit in Albania. Initially, we will delve into the distillation techniques that have been cherished for generations. You will uncover the fascinating history of raki, tracing its roots back to the Ottoman Empire, where it symbolized hospitality.

The tasting will follow, featuring a delightful selection of seven distinct raki types, each thoughtfully paired with Albanian mezes. Among these, you will savor byrek, grilled vegetables, flavorful cheeses, olives, and local cured meats. Each pairing is designed to enhance the distinct characteristics of the raki, creating a true joy for your taste buds!
