Description
Set in the quaint Plaza Aladro, at the heart of the historic district of Jerez de la Frontera, the renowned Domecq Palace stands as a magnificent representation of 18th-century Baroque style.
Your ticket encompasses an English audio guide, providing insightful narratives about the distinct rooms of the palace. The origins of this extraordinary structure trace back to 1775, initiated by Antonio Cabezas de Aranda y Guzmán, the pioneer Marquis of Montana, who commissioned its creation in the San Sebastián plain of Jerez. The construction was completed in 1778.
The audio guide enriches your visit by detailing the changes the palace has undergone throughout the years. Notably, in 1855, the residence was adopted by the Domecq family, one of Spain's leading winemaking dynasties, significantly influencing the nation’s wine heritage.
Throughout the visit, you will have the opportunity to explore spaces such as the columned courtyard, the boardroom, the dining area, the library, the ballroom, the fireplace hall, and the office of the Marquis of Domecq.
This engaging tour will conclude after 45 minutes at the palace's main entrance.
