Curious about the winemaking process in Occitania? Join us on an immersive journey through La Provenquière, a family-run winery situated in the south of France, where you’ll partake in an exclusive wine tasting. This experience is essential for enthusiasts of wine tourism!

Tour Overview

Set in the Hérault department of southern France, La Provenquière has been under the stewardship of the Robert-Boularand family since 1954.

Upon arrival at the winery, we will embark on a guided exploration of the estate's vineyards. Here, you’ll notice how the diverse range of soils—including gravel, blue marl, and clay-limestone—facilitates the growing of various grape types, yielding exceptional red, white, and rosé wines.

Additionally, we will delve into the practices of sustainable viticulture, which has earned the HVE 3 certification. This recognition underscores the commitment to biodiversity preservation and the enhancement of the area’s terroir.

The tour will progress with visits to the chateau grounds, wine cellar, and barrel room. Our hour-and-a-half tour will culminate in the cellars housed within the former stables, where we’ll partake in a tasting session featuring up to five distinct wines, subject to availability. Some of the wines we will sample include those boasting Protected Geographical Indication, such as IGP Pays d'Oc and IGP Coteaux d'Ensérune.

After the tasting, feel free to wander the castle's gardens and farm at your leisure.
