Boat Ride Details
At the designated time, you will meet at the Port of Brindisi, where a speedboat is ready to embark on this journey. During the ride, you will see some of the most emblematic places in the city from the water. Let’s set sail!
The first stop is the Castello Alfonsino di Brindisi, a 16th-century fortress perched over the islet of Sant’Andrea, guarding the entrance to the port. Nearby is the Forte a Mare, recognized as one of Brindisi's most important defensive bastions.
The boat will then take you to the Monumento al Marinaio d'Italia, a towering rudder that stands 173 ft (53 m) tall. This monument dominates the bay of Brindisi, honoring sailors lost at sea, providing privileged views from the boat.
Next, you will sail past the Castillo Suabo de Brindisi, also known as the Castello di Terra. This medieval fortress, commissioned by Frederick II, sits in the port's heart, showcasing the city’s historical significance during the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation.
As you leave the urban center, the journey continues towards the open sea, where a small archipelago of the Pedagne Islands awaits. These six islands serve as natural guardians of the bay of Brindisi, offering a landscape of remarkable beauty and ecological importance.
