On this guided tour of Buenos Aires, we'll learn historical facts of the capital of Argentina while admiring its main monuments and older shops.
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet underneath the votive lamp of the Metropolitan Cathedral for the guided tour of Buenos Aires. We will explore the historic centre of the city.
We'll start by walking along the façades of Art Nouveau buildings such as the Barolo Palace and art spaces like the Liceo Theatre.
As we proceed, we'll delve into the history of literature, politics, and notable figures from Buenos Aires by visiting historic bars such as Café Tortoni, El Gato Negro, and Los 36 billares. Attendees can enjoy a snack of coffee, soda or water, and two croissants.
Our route will lead us to the Plaza de Mayo, essential for understanding Argentina's independence from the Spanish Empire, where we will view the exteriors of important buildings like the Banco de la Nación, the Casa Rosada, and the Buenos Aires Cathedral.
We'll continue to the La Prensa newspaper building, recognized as one of the ten most important newspapers in the world.
In the last stage, we'll visit the Avenida Corrientes, known as the Argentinean Broadway, filled with theatres and bookshops, and we will learn about the history of tango. The tour will also highlight chocolate shops and renowned restaurants of Argentinean culture. We will conclude at the Obelisco de Buenos Aires, a famous monument inaugurated in 1936, finishing the tour after 2 hours next to this city symbol.

15 minutes before the indicated time, you'll have to go to the following point in Buenos Aires: the Metropolitan Cathedral. The guide will be waiting for you under the votive lamp, located at number 437 of the avenida Rivadavia.
The Subte de Catedral metro station is located just a 3-minute walk away from the meeting point. This stop belongs to line D (the green one).
