Experience Caracol Park in the Sierra Gaúcha
Located just a short distance from Canela in Rio Grande do Sul, Caracol Park stands out as a remarkable natural reserve in the area. Visitors can enjoy cascading waterfalls, walking trails, and the vibrant landscapes of the Atlantic rainforest.
Your adventure begins with the issuance of a special "passport." As you navigate the park's ten distinct points of interest, you can collect a stamp at each stop, which adds an element of enjoyment to your exploration.
The centerpiece of the park is the magnificent Caracol Waterfall, plummeting 131 m (430 ft) into the valley below. The panoramic observation deck provides spectacular views of the waterfall and its lush surroundings.
Venture along scenic trails through the Atlantic Forest, inhale the refreshing air, and explore the Forest of the Xaxins, where you’ll discover a diverse array of native flora and soaring tree ferns. The Butterfly Corner offers a tranquil and vibrant setting dedicated to the beautiful butterflies of the area.
For families, the Serelepe Playground is a delightful, safe space designed especially for children. When hunger strikes, the Sabor & Flor restaurant serves delicious meals cooked over a traditional wood-fired stove, perfect for a relaxing break.
