Tepuhueico Day Adventure

The adventure begins at Plaza de Armas in Castro, where we can either gather or arrange for a pick-up from your accommodation to commence our excursion to Tepuhueico Park. Prepare to be captivated by the magical woods of Chiloé's Isla Grande.

Our journey kicks off at the entrance of Tepuhueico Park, greeted by the diligent groundkeeping staff. They will provide a heartfelt welcome and share insightful details about the numerous trails available in the park. Spanning over 20,000 hectares (49,421 feet), there are trails suited for every level of adventurer!

Once your hiking boots are securely fastened, we'll embark into the wilderness! Together, we'll explore various trails, with a standout being the wild waterfall hiking trail. As we make our way, we'll bask in the embrace of lush greenery, frequented by diverse bird species and breathtaking vistas.

Upon reaching the trail's end, we'll direct our attention towards Tepuhueico Lodge. With hunger setting in, it's time for a lunch break. Here, we will settle down and savor the menu of traditional cuisine, featuring an appetizer of soup or salad, a choice of meat or fish for the main course, and, naturally, dessert.

After replenishing our energy, we will set off once more to wander through the lodge's gardens and stroll along the banks of Lake Tepuhueico. This area is a showcase of diverse flora and fauna, adding to the natural charm of the region.

In total, after 4-5 hours of this immersive nature experience, we will return to our starting point.

Pickup Information

This tour provides a pickup service from hotels located in Castro and Chonchi. If you are residing in a different part of Chiloé Isla Grande, you have the option to join the tour without pickup and meet us directly at Plaza de Armas de Castro.
