Our meeting point will be at the bullring in Valencia de Alcántara at the specified time. Once everyone has arrived, we will board a robust off-road vehicle and commence our exploration of two remarkable sites.

Your first destination will be the Sierra de San Pedro, home to one of the most significant megalithic sites across Europe. Here, you'll stroll amidst dolmens crafted from granite and slate dating back over 4000 years. These fascinating structures serve a funerary purpose, which adds to their historical importance.

Following our visit to this archaeological treasure, we’ll hop back into the 4x4 and make our way to Berrocal de la Data. Recognized as the fifth natural monument of Extremadura, its beauty will become immediately apparent upon arrival!

Spanning 465 hectares, this area features a stunning collection of uniquely shaped granite formations that serve as nesting grounds for local griffon vultures. The landscape is further characterized by expansive forests filled with chestnut trees, diverse scrubland, and flourishing cork oaks.

As an added highlight, ancient cave paintings and five distinct dolmens—Data I, Data II, Mellizo, Cajirón I, and Cajirón II—have been discovered in this captivating locale. During our exploration, we will relish a picnic featuring traditional foods such as cheese and chorizo.
