Upon reaching the summit of the Nordkette range, you'll experience an incredible vista that deepens your affection for the Tyrol region. This Nordkette cable car access allows you to alight at the initial station, located at 304 meters: Hungerburg. Here, you'll have a clear view of the Innsbruck skyline, unfazed by cloud cover.

Your journey continues as you ascend to Seegrube, situated nearly 2,000 meters above sea level. On clear days, you can gaze upon the dramatic gorges and the boundary between Austria and Italy. This area offers various trails perfect for discovering local flora.

Next, the funicular will transport you to Hafelekar, the pinnacle of the mountain chain, presenting stunning sights of the Karwendel range—a segment of the Alps that you'll want to capture in photos!

Operating Hours

The operational times of the Nordkette funicular stations are as follows:

• Innsbruck station: Open daily from 8:15 am to 7 pm, with departures every 15 minutes.
• Hungerburg station: Available Monday to Friday from 7:15 am to 7:15 pm; on weekends and public holidays, it operates from 8 am to 6:30 pm. Departures occur every 15 minutes.
• Seegrube station: Open daily from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, with departures every 15 minutes.
• Hafelekar station: Open daily from 9 am to 6 pm, with departures every 15 minutes.

For the months of October through May, the Nordkette cable car stations have the following hours:

• Innsbruck station: Daily from 8:15 am to 7 pm, with departures every 15 minutes.
• Hungerburg station: Operating Monday to Friday from 7:15 am to 7:15 pm and on weekends and holidays from 8 am to 7:15 pm. Departures are every 15 minutes.
• Seegrube Station: Daily from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with departures every 15 minutes.
• Hafelekar Station: Open daily from 9 am to 6 pm, with departures every 15 minutes.
