Your orca-watching adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your accommodation in Puerto Madryn. Following that, we will embark on a scenic 2-hour drive towards Punta Norte.

As we travel, we will make selected stops to explore the diverse wildlife and unique landscapes along the Patagonian coastline. From the outset, your curiosity will be piqued!

The journey's first highlight will be El Desempeño, the entry point to the Valdés Peninsula Protected Natural Area. Upon arrival, you will be captivated by the stunning coastal views and the area's rugged beauty. Our next stop will be the Carlos Ameghino Visitor Centre, where insights into the orcas and their fascinating hunting techniques will be shared.

We will then proceed to our primary destination: Punta Norte. Here, we'll head to one of the finest viewpoints along the beach, where we will eagerly await the first appearances of these majestic creatures. This location is famous for being one of the rare sites worldwide where orcas safely exhibit the remarkable strategy of intentional stranding.

If fortune smiles upon us, we might witness them beaching themselves to catch sea lion pups, an extraordinary spectacle that's only observable in a few locations across the globe! During our wait, we will also have the opportunity to view seabirds and other local wildlife.
