São Jorge Expedition

Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel in São Jorge at 9:30 am, leading you into a day filled with awe-inspiring sights. Our first destination will be the Sete Fontes Forest Park, where you'll encounter a variety of stunning plants including azaleas, fuchsia, and cryptomerias.

Subsequently, we will make our way to Ponta dos Rosais, a majestic cliff that rises 650 feet above the Atlantic, offering a truly spectacular view! Continuing the journey in our minibus, we will arrive at the Fajã de João Dias viewpoint, where the lush greenery meets the ocean.

Next on our itinerary is a visit to the Beira Cheese Factory, where you'll learn about the cheese-making process and have the chance to sample this delightful product. At noon, we will pause at a local restaurant for a satisfying buffet lunch.

Rejuvenated, we'll proceed to the church of Santa Barbara, located near the village of Urzelina. Following this, we'll traverse the São Jorge mountains to the Casa do Parque, where you can explore at your own pace and gain insights into the island's geology, biodiversity, and cultural heritage.

Continuing our exploration, we will visit Fajã do Ouvidor and the Simão Dias natural pool. If the weather permits, you might even have the opportunity to snorkel in the clear waters, filled with the rich marine life found in the Azores! We will then pass through the stunning Fajã dos Cubres, the Caldeira Santo Cristo, and take a moment to admire the sea-view coffee plantations at Fajã dos Vimes.

Our final destination will be Ponta do Topo, where a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean and Topo Island awaits. The tour will conclude back in São Jorge at 5:30 pm, dropping you off at your hotel.
