Snorkeling Overview

Are you ready to delve into the wonders of the Costa Rican Pacific? Our adventure will commence at a prearranged time at Avenida Principal in Bahía, Uvita. From this meeting point, we will proceed to Uvita Beach, located within the Ballena Marine National Park.

Following a brief orientation, we will board a boat that will transport us to Caño Island. The journey lasts about 1.5 hours, leading us to this remarkable sanctuary, home to 19 distinct coral species. Upon arrival, we will equip ourselves with snorkeling gear.

With our equipment ready, we'll embark on two diving sessions of 40 minutes each, where we can marvel at the vibrant underwater ecosystems teeming with tropical fish and the stunning coral formations. Keep your eyes peeled, as you may even encounter some sea turtles. Remarkably, this area offers underwater visibility reaching up to 65.61 feet (20 meters), making it an ideal spot for snorkeling!

After our diving exploration, we will head towards the tranquil San Josecito Beach. Here, we'll disembark to savor a delicious lunch while enjoying picturesque views of the bay. Once we've replenished our energy and relaxed for a while, we'll set sail back along Drake Bay, passing by Ventanas Beach and Violin Island, near the Sierpe River. Prepare to be captivated by the breathtaking scenery!

Eventually, we'll return to our starting point, concluding this enriching 6 to 8-hour adventure.
