Cambirela Hill Hike

On this hiking activity, we will conquer the challenging Cambirela Hill, one of the most iconic mountains in the region of Florianópolis. This hike is ideal for adventure-seekers.

Hike Details

The starting point is the Terminal Rita Maria bus station in the center of Florianópolis, where we will board a bus to the town of Palhoça. This town is home to the Serra do Tabuleiro State Park, which features the stunning Cambirela Hill.

Our journey to Palhoça will take approximately half an hour, during which we will share interesting facts about the region's history and the importance of preserving this natural reserve. Upon arrival at the mountain slopes, we will embark on our hiking adventure in Cambirela Hill.

The hike covers a total distance of 2.48 m (4 km) uphill and downhill, with an elevation gain of approximately 2788 ft (850 m). Despite the demanding nature of this hike, including steep and rocky sections, the breathtaking views of the surrounding lush Atlantic Forest will make every step worthwhile.

As we hike, we will learn about the native flora and fauna present along the path. Upon reaching the summit, we will pause for one hour to rest and participate in a meaningful activity, during which you will write down your thoughts in a notebook, serving as a reflective gesture.

After enjoying our time at the top, we will begin our descent along the same route used for the ascent, ultimately returning to our starting point. A vehicle will be waiting to take us back to the Terminal Rita Maria, where we will conclude our experience after a total duration of 8 hours.
