Embark on a journey through the countryside of Funchal, where you'll encounter the breathtaking landscapes and embrace the traditional lifestyles of rural Madeira. A highlight of this adventure is the opportunity to witness the production of the renowned Requeijão cheese.

Tour of Madeira's Farms

Our excursion begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Madeira, as we travel into the island's interior, venturing into its picturesque rural regions.

The first stop is a banana plantation, where you'll observe how this tropical fruit is cultivated, from planting to harvesting. Following this, we will visit a facility dedicated to banana products.

Next, we will proceed to a winery for a delightful wine tasting session. This will be followed by a visit to a cattle farm, where the fascinating process of creating the celebrated Requeijão da Madeira cheese will be demonstrated.

Our exploration continues with another winery and a sugar cane farm. By this point, you may be feeling peckish, so we’ll take a break at a local restaurant to savor a traditional Madeiran lunch crafted from fresh, regional ingredients.

After enjoying your meal, we will make our way back to your hotel in Madeira, concluding the tour approximately seven hours after our departure.
