Meet us in front of Hawa Mahal to kick-start our free walking tour of Jaipur! At this iconic structure, often referred to as the Palace of the Winds, we'll take a moment to appreciate its stunning architecture, reminiscent of a peacock's majestic tail.

From here, we'll begin our route through the streets of Jaipur, known as the Pink City. This affectionate nickname can be attributed to Maharajá Ram Singh, who issued a decree in the early 20th century for the prominent buildings to be adorned in a distinctive pink salmon hue. Hoping to impress his esteemed guest, the Prince of Wales, Maharajá Ram Singh chose a color symbolizing fortune and kindness, adorning the city in the distinctive pink shade.

As we walk, we'll divulge the city's storied past while we admire the buildings facades and emblematic landmarks like Jantar Mantar. This particular site is one of 5 observatories in the city, all constructed thanks to Maharajá Jai Singh who was an avid lover of stargazing.

Next up, we'll pass by several other important monuments to come to Albert Hall Museum. This institution pays homage to the renowned Prince Albert, husband to Queen Victoria. 

After 2 hours of getting to know the most intimate corners of the city, we'll end our free tour of Jaipur in front of the Laxmi Mandir Temple.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You will meet with the guide at the designated point, Hawa Mahal, where the tour begins. The guided tour spans approximately 2 hours and takes you through various significant sites in Jaipur. The experience includes walking through the Pink City, visiting landmarks, storytelling about the city's history, and ending at Laxmi Mandir Temple.
