Excursion to Cheow Lan Lake

Your adventure begins with a hotel pickup in Krabi between 7 and 7:30 am, followed by a scenic drive into Khao Sok National Park. Are you ready to unveil the secrets of Cheow Lan Lake?

After two hours on the road, we will reach the park, one of the star attractions in the province of Surat Thani. Home to over 100 islands, towering limestone cliffs, and a rich array of wildlife, the breathtaking scenery of this reserve will captivate you from the moment we arrive. With a bit of luck, we might even catch glimpses of local fauna in their natural surroundings, including elephants, wild oxen, deer, wild boars, and monkeys.

Our exploration continues as we board a boat for a cruise on Cheow Lan Lake, known as Khao Sok Lake, a crystal-clear freshwater lagoon embraced by verdant ancient forests. An interesting tidbit: the surrounding forest is believed to be around 160 million years old, predating the Amazon rainforest!

Following our time on the water where we'll capture memorable photos, we will embark on a hike through the rainforest, leading us to a hidden cave adorned with rock formations shaped by the elements over time. A delicious buffet-style lunch awaits us at the floating restaurant located in the Cheow Lan Dam.

Once you've had your fill, you'll enjoy some free time to unwind on the serene waters of Cheow Lan Lake, with opportunities to swim and kayak at your leisure. We will regroup at 4:30 pm for the return trip to Krabi, arriving back at approximately 6 pm.
