Join us on this excursion to Lake Titicaca and Isla del Sol, where you'll experience the allure of one of Bolivia's and South America's most emblematic destinations.

Trip Overview

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your accommodation in La Paz. From there, we'll embark on our journey towards Copacabana, a lovely town nestled beside Lake Titicaca. Over the course of 4 hours, be prepared to soak in remarkable vistas of the Andean scenery.

Our first destination will be the Copacabana Church, where we will appreciate its colonial design and delve into its cultural and historical significance. Following this, we will explore the local markets, where you can browse traditional crafts and unique souvenirs—a perfect chance to pick up a memento from your journey!

We’ll then allow an hour for you to dine at a local eatery. Savor the flavors of Bolivian dishes, featuring specialties such as fresh fish from Lake Titicaca and the renowned grilled trout.

After our meal, we will hop onto a boat to traverse Lake Titicaca, renowned as the world's highest navigable body of water and one of South America's largest lakes. Prepare to be amazed by its crystal-clear waters and the snowy Andean summits in the background—remember to bring your camera!

Our boat ride will take us to the southern region of Isla del Sol, where we will stop at the Pilkokaina Palace, an ancient structure from the Inca civilization. While exploring the palace ruins, you'll uncover the rich history and culture of this ancestral society. We will then proceed to Yumani, a picturesque village where you can see the Three Fountains of the Incas, famous for their healing properties and the pure water sourced directly from Lake Titicaca.

Upon concluding our Isla del Sol explorations, we will return by boat to Copacabana, followed by a bus ride back to La Paz, concluding our day trip after approximately 14 hours at the original meeting point.
