Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your accommodation as we embark towards Los Haitises National Park. Let’s get started!

Upon arrival, you will board a boat for a journey through the lush landscapes of the subtropical rainforest. This boat excursion provides an opportunity to witness the thriving mangrove ecosystems and the incredible range of life that inhabits the area.

Venturing through the winding channels, we will emerge into the open sea, where the unique karst mogotes rise dramatically from the water. These formations serve as crucial nesting sites for various bird species, including pelicans, gannets, and herons.

Your exploration continues with a visit to one of the hidden caves nestled in this pristine environment. Here, you can discover ancient petroglyphs left by indigenous peoples. Keep an eye out for a Boa constrictor, a species native to this region, as you explore the surroundings!

Next, we will journey to Hotel Paraíso Caño Hondo, a nature-immersed hotel complex that boasts several natural pools fed by the Jivales River. Feel like taking a refreshing swim?

After this delightful interlude, a sumptuous Dominican buffet lunch awaits you, complemented by a selection of beverages including soft drinks, water, and natural juices of passion fruit, tamarind, and cherry. Recharged and ready, we will then embark on an off-road excursion to the peak of Redonda Mountain, offering breathtaking views of the jungle below.

As the day winds down, we will return to your hotel, typically arriving between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm.

Hotel Pickup Details

This day trip includes pickup from accommodations located in La Romana and Bayahibe. For Bayahibe, pickups commence at 5 am, while those in La Romana will be collected starting at 5:30 am.

It's important to mention that if your stay is at the Bahia Principe La Romana hotel, there will be an additional charge of 20 USD per person, as this property is situated in San Pedro de Macorís, outside our usual pickup boundaries.
