Embark on this bird watching experience in the Ebro Delta, where we will explore the rich avian diversity found within this stunning Tarragona region.

Ebro Delta Bird Observation Excursion

Our adventure begins at the designated meeting spot, the reception area of Camping Ampolla Playa de L'Ampolla. Here, we will commence our journey to discover the wildlife of the Ebro Delta Natural Park. Participants will navigate the route both on foot and in personal vehicles, closely following the guide's car.

Accompanied by an environmental educator, we will wander through the vicinity of the Olles Lagoon. Although this is the smallest lagoon in the park, it boasts a significant population of waterfowl. Throughout the tour, we'll have the opportunity to spot a variety of bird species thriving in this distinctive habitat. Key stops will be made at various viewpoints around the lagoon, where we can observe ducks, egrets, kingfishers, and stilts, along with the impressive flamingos.

This excursion also allows us to gain insight into the local flora and the surrounding rice fields that contribute to the area’s biodiversity. Moreover, our bird watching journey around both the Olles Lagoon and the bay of Fangar stretches along the coastline, offering sights from L'Ampolla to the fishing port of Illa de Mar.

After approximately two and a half to three hours of exploration, we will conclude our tour and return to the original meeting point.
