Presenting three distinct routes, the London Big Bus tour allows you to traverse the city aboard an open-top double-decker vehicle. With a rich audio guide accompanying your experience, uncover the breathtaking sights of one of the world's most popular destinations. The 48-hour ticket also grants you access to a river cruise along the Thames and a nighttime tour, if desired.
Marvel at several iconic locations along the way, including London Bridge, the London Eye, St. Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, and Westminster.

Bus Lines
The bus tour includes the following lines, each with its specific details:
- Red Line: This comprehensive route covers a total duration of 2 hours and 20 minutes, stopping at the major attractions within the city. It operates daily from 8:40 am to 5:10 pm, with buses arriving every 20 to 30 minutes. Note that, from November to February, the last bus departs at 4:30 pm from stop 1.
- Blue Line: Spanning popular sites in the museum quarter and concluding at the Tower of London, this route showcases landmarks like Buckingham Palace, Harrods, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Kensington Palace, the London Eye, Madame Tussauds, Notting Hill, St. Paul's Cathedral, and Westminster Abbey. It lasts for 3 hours and 20 minutes and is available daily from 8:30 am to 5 pm, with intervals of 20 to 30 minutes between buses. The final departure during the winter months is also at 4:30 pm from stop 24.
- Green Line: Connecting North London with Central London, this route is perfect for those staying outside the main city area, taking approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes. Buses run daily every 30-60 minutes between 8:30 am and 6 pm, with the last bus in winter departing at 4:30 pm from stop 44.
- Night Tour: This tour commences from the London Eye (stop 11) at 7:30 pm, lasting 2 hours in a non-stop format, included with the special '48-hour ticket + night tour' package.
Be aware that schedules are subject to change and flexibility.
Boat Ride
Each ticket also includes a scenic cruise along the River Thames between Westminster and the Tower of London. The boats operate daily from 10 am to 5 pm, arriving every 15 minutes in summer and every 40 minutes in winter.
Departure points for the boats are:
- Tower Bridge Dock (near stop 16 on the sightseeing bus)
- Westminster Dock (near stop 18 on the sightseeing bus)
London Walking Tours
Included in the 48-hour ticket are guided walking tours of London, lasting 1.5 hours and available daily. You may select from the following tours:
- Royal Sites Tour: departs at 10 am from stop 7 (Trafalgar Square)
- City of London Tour: begins at 4 pm from stop 14 (St Paul's Cathedral)
- Westminster Undiscovered Side Tour: starts at 1 pm from stop 10 (Whitehall)
Note that the first two tours do not operate between November 1 and February 28 and are substituted by a historical tour that departs at 4 pm from stop 16 of the tourist bus.
How Does it Work?
Your ticket for the London Bus Tour remains valid for 24 or 48 hours from first use, allowing you to hop on and off as often as you wish. While a start date is required at booking, you can activate your ticket within six months from that date.
For same-day bookings, tickets are only valid on the selected day, and significantly, they do not include the Thames river cruise.
Activities in London

The ticket is valid for 24 or 48 days following its first use.
Although you’ll need to select a start date when making your reservation, your ticket will remain valid for two weeks from the chosen date. If you’d like to change your date, you must request it in advance through Civitatis Customer Service. Unfortunately, it isn’t possible to show up on a different day without prior confirmation.
Bus Schedules
- Red line: Daily departures from 8:40 am to 5:10 pm, every 20-30 minutes. From November to February, the final departure is at 4:30 pm from stop 1.
- Blue line: Daily departures from 8:30 am to 5 pm, every 20-30 minutes. From November to February, the final departure is at 4:30 pm from stop 24.
- Green line: Daily departures from 8:30 am to 6 pm, every 30-60 minutes. From November to February, the final departure is at 4:30 pm from stop 44.
Please keep in mind that these schedules are flexible and may vary.
Boat Ride
The cruise between Westminster and the Tower of London is included in each ticket option available.
The crossing runs daily between 10 am and 5 pm, every 15 minutes during the summer season and every 40 minutes during the winter season. However, the departure times are flexible and can vary, so we recommend checking the official website.
The boat departs from the following points:
- Tower Bridge Dock (near stop 16 on the sightseeing bus)
- Westminster Dock (near stop 18 on the sightseeing bus)
London Walking Tours
The 48-hour tickets also include a guided walking tour of London. These 1.5-hour tours run daily. You can choose one of the following:
- Royal Sites Tour: starts at 10 am at stop 7 (Trafalgar Square)
- City of London Tour: starts at 4 pm at stop 14 (St Pauls Cathedral)
- Westminster Undiscovered Side Tour: starts at 1 pm at Stop 10 (Whitehall)
The first two routes do not operate in winter (from November 1 to February 28) and are replaced by a historic tour of the city which departs at 4 pm from stop 16 of the tourist bus.
