Activity Overview

At the predetermined time, we will gather at the chosen meeting location to embark on our trip from Malabo towards San Pedro de Ureca, a quaint community situated on the southern part of Bioko. Here, you’ll immerse yourself in the stunning scenery of the dense tropical jungle and expansive golden sandy beaches. Ready for this adventure? Let's set off!

Upon reaching our destination, we will initiate a hiking expedition, where we will observe the shifting flora surrounding us as we make our way through the wilderness. Throughout the trek, we may encounter various wildlife, including monkeys and an array of bird species. This breathtaking environment provides the perfect backdrop for a delightful picnic lunch, allowing us to fully engage with nature.

The Ureka jungle is renowned for its impressive waterfalls, and during this adventure, you will have the opportunity to experience them firsthand! We will take time to appreciate these magnificent cascades and even indulge in a refreshing swim in their pools. Following this experience, we will head to the beach of Ureka to unwind, enjoy dinner, and set up our camping tents for the night.

This beachfront location is famous for its nesting sea turtles. In the quiet of the night, we will take a gentle stroll to observe this remarkable hatching process from a safe distance, ensuring a captivating experience. After enjoying this memorable moment, we will return to our tents for a restful night.

The following morning, we’ll wake up and leisurely savor our breakfast at the campsite before starting our journey back to Malabo.

We expect to arrive back at the original meeting point around 10 am.
