Mantua Tour (2 hours)

Opting for this tour will lead you on a two-hour exploration of the historic center of Mantua. We'll kick off with a visit to the courtyards and gardens of the Doge's Palace, where you'll learn about the Gonzaga family's rich history.

Continuing through the charming old town, our pathway will take us through medieval squares like Piazza Broletto, where you can admire the Palazzo del Podestà and the Arengario arch. The journey will then guide us to the Basilica di Sant'Andrea, crafted by the esteemed architect Aberti, the same mind behind the façade of the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella in Florence. Our exploration concludes at the bustling Piazza delle Erbe.

Timetable: Monday to Friday at 10 am and 3 pm; Saturdays and Sundays at 10 am.

Mantua Tour + Doge's Palace (3 hours)

Choosing this option allows you to step inside the Doge's Palace, often referred to as a palace-city due to its vast array of buildings. This impressive structure spans over 35,000 square meters!

Among its many highlights, you’ll be particularly captivated by San Giorgio Castle, home to the stunning Chamber of the Spouses or Camera degli Sposi, featuring vibrant frescoes from the 15th century, which we’ll delve into during our visit.

After this enriching inside look, our two-hour walking exploration of Mantua will continue, eventually leading us back to Piazza delle Erbe.

Timetable: Monday to Friday at 9:30 am and 2:30 pm; Saturdays and Sundays at 9:30 am.

Mantua Tour + Doge's Palace and Te Palace (5 hours)

This comprehensive tour combines visits to the Doge's Palace and a walking experience through Mantua, culminating at the historical Te Palace, which dates back to 1524.

Purposefully constructed as a leisure retreat and inspired by ancient Roman villa designs, the Te Palace was realized by one of Raphael's most distinguished pupils, Giulio Romano. During this visit, you’ll discover its splendid rooms adorned with centuries-old frescoes, including notable sites like the Hall of the Horse, the Chamber of Love, the Chamber of Psyche, and the Hall of the Giants. The tour concludes outside the Te Palace.

Museum closures

Please remember that the Te Palace is not accessible on Tuesdays, while the Doge's Palace is closed on Mondays.
