Experience the rustic charm of Brazil through a visit to Fazenda da Esperança. This excursion offers a glimpse into a historic farm established in 1842, where you can discover the local flora and fauna.

Fazenda Esperança Tour

Your adventure begins at 10 am with a pickup from your hotel in Monte Verde. We will board a 4x4 vehicle for a journey north to Fazenda da Esperança, a farm over a century old located approximately an hour away.

Situated in Jaguary de Cima at the edge of Monte Verde, this farm provides a perfect setting to discover the native flora and fauna of Minas Gerais. Here, we will immerse ourselves in traditional rural activities that characterize life in this picturesque area.

Upon arrival, we'll disembark and commence a guided exploration of the farm. You'll learn about the property’s rich history, which goes back to 1842, and hear stories about the family that has managed it for five generations.

As we wander through the farm, keep your eyes peeled for an array of birds that soar above, and with a bit of luck, you may spot anteaters, deer, or even maned wolves. Interesting facts about the wildlife will be shared throughout the tour.

During the visit, we will delve into the dulce de leche production process on the premises, and yes, there will be an opportunity to sample this delightful treat! For those interested in delving deeper into local cuisine, a meal can be enjoyed at the Fazenda Esperança restaurant, where lunch is available at your own expense.

After spending around two hours at the farm, we will conclude the tour by 2 pm and return you to your hotel in Monte Verde.
