Tour Overview

At the scheduled time, we will gather at the Whitter Village Shopping Centre. Once everyone is present, our journey will begin as we travel to the Providence Farm cannabis plantation. Are you prepared for an informative guided exploration of the farm?

Throughout the tour, attendees will discover the complete life cycle of cannabis, spanning from seed to harvest, and delve into eco-friendly cultivation techniques. The tour promises the delightful aroma of fresh herbs as we stroll through the fields, where we'll observe both traditional and contemporary farming practices. Additionally, various birds, including parrots and local Jamaican species, may grace us with their presence as we walk.

We will also discuss the significant connection between cannabis and Jamaican heritage, tracing its journey from age-old traditions to contemporary applications. This part of the tour will highlight how cannabis has shaped local music, spiritual practices, and healthcare.
