VDNKh & Cosmonaut Museum Tour

Delve into the history of the USSR on this tour of Soviet Moscow, which includes visits to the Museum of Cosmonautics and the All-Russian Exhibition Centre VDNKh.

Tour Details

We'll begin our tour next to the Monument to the Conquerors of Space, which is over 100 m (328 ft) tall and topped by a rocket. This monument, erected in 1964, serves as the main entrance to the Moscow Museum of Cosmonautics.

During our visit to the museum, we will see various types of satellites, capsules, rockets and space shuttles and learn about the life of astronauts in space. Displays include space suits used by Russian cosmonauts and specially prepared space food. The interactive areas allow visitors to experience the sensation of space travel through videos, simulators, and touch-sensitive displays.

After the museum, we will visit the All-Russia Exhibition Centre (VDNKh), located behind it. This exhibition site was built to showcase state achievements of the USSR. Passing through the Triumphal Arch, we will see the Friendship of the Peoples Fountain, featuring 15 golden statues representing the 15 republics of the USSR. We will also explore the exteriors of large pavilions reflecting Soviet military power.

We will conclude this 3-hour tour at the entrance of the VDNKh exhibition ground.
